Western Australia, Australia’s largest state occupying a third of the landmass but with only 11% of the population. Join me on this deep dive into First Nations Art and Culture as we explore how Aboriginal Australians, living across Western Australia, tell their stories of land, country, and history through art – the rock art of the Burrup Penninsula; the ochre paintings of the Kimberly Region; the weaving of the Tjanpi artists and the stories of country told by the Spinifex people . This course would suit those who have completed my previous course on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art as well as those new to the topic.
