This course looks at contemporary feminist philosophy through the lens of Kate Manne’s seminal work ‘Down Girl: The Logic of Misogyny’. Manne’s book charts the difference between patriarchy, sexism, and misogyny by looking at examples of misogyny in public life and politics. This course is a guided reading group, where the class will explore a different chapter of the book each week.

Kate Manne’s book is readily available online and can cost as little as £4.
